PRINTOPOLIS Print + Plate Show Submission Call

Print & Plate Exhibition for PRINTOPOLIS at PROOF Studio Gallery

Submission Call for a Juried Exhibition
In collaboration with the October PRINTOPOLIS Conference

An exciting show with both the print and the matrix on display: reveal your etching plate, collagraph, relief, woodcut, silkscreen or mixed media materials used in printing or developing your finished print! Print and Plates will be displayed next to each other. Bookworks with a print component, printed pieces using ephemera and digital works will also be displayed – as long as there is a ‘plate’ component!

The exhibition will be on display and for sale at PROOF Studio Gallery in the Historic Distillery District for 2 weeks October 19th – November 1st and open to the public daily. PROOF Studio Gallery is a contemporary photo and print gallery co-owned by Sheila Jonah.

Interested Exhibitors: Please submit representative JPEGS with a description of your planned print and plate piece by September 1st via email.
Juried submission is free but there is a participation fee of $25.

PRINTOPOLIS Print and Plate EXHIBITION at PROOF Studio Gallery

Call for Entry
In conjunction with the PRINTOPOLIS – the Toronto wide print symposium PROOF Studio Gallery will be hosting an juried exhibition featuring both prints and plates called Revealing the Matrix???.

To Submit please include the following:
CD with images – please show your print and your plate or representative image
Sizes of plate and framed prints must be clearly indicated

Other Important Information
Drop Off day for Prints and Plates is Monday October 18th from 12 – 5
Pick up Day at the end of the exhibition is Monday November 1st 12 - 5
All work must be ready for exhibiting – framed or ready to hang with hanging hardware (no works will be hung using earth magnets)
Plates must be wall ready as well or some solution to exhibit on a wall
One piece of work per artist with plate and print
Artwork may be in any printmaking media but a plate component is essential
Gallery exhibiting the work will retain a 30% commission on all sales
